We do not have permission for patients to park in the entrance to the fire station or in the fire station carpark.

Access to the Fire Station is needed at all times, and the entrance to and from the Fire Station is not to be Impeded.

From Monday 3rd February, the entrance to the main reception will be at the front of the building. 

This entrance is accessed at street level and provides good wheelchair access.

From 3rd December 2019, the Chipping Surgery will have the EPS phase 4 switched on.  This means that patients without a pharmacy nomination will have their prescriptions signed and sent electronically. 

Patients will be given a scannable [prescription TOKEN with barcode instead of a signed  paper prescription.  This TOKEN can be taken to any chemist of your choice, who will be able to scan and download the prescription details and dispense the prescription.


Flu vaccination clinics are appointment only this year and are now bookable on-line or by telephoning reception (appointments currently available from October).  We are currently sending sms and telephone invitations for all eligible patients.  Please do make sure we have your correct contact details.  If we do not have your telephone details we will be sending a letter.  

Please note primary school children will have their nasal flu given to they by their primary school.

Improved Access

Our aim is to make it easier and more convenient for patients to see a GP by providing more appointments at  surgeries across the Berkeley Vale area. These appointments are called Improved Access Appointments.  The appointments can be offered to patients registered with one of the Berkeley Vale Improved Access Surgeries which includes The Chipping Surgery

Weekend Appointments available between 08.30am to 12.15pm 


Long Term Conditions

We are pleased to be introducing a new way of caring for our patients with long term conditions, this includes patients with Hypertension, Diabetes, Asthma, COPD etc. We will invite patients to make an appointments at the surgery in the month of their birth. On your first visit we will complete all the necessary tests and screening required; you will then have a follow up appointment with a Long Term Conditions nurse to ensure your personal condition/s are fully assessed and kept under control.  Please do not book appointments for Long Term Conditions reviews using the on-line service.  Please phone 01453 842214 and press option 1 - the reception team will be able to advise you which tests/screening are required and book the correct appointments for you. 

NB.If your conditions have changed or you feel unwell you must continue to contact the surgery in the normal way.
