If you are supporting a partner, relative or friend who is disabled or ill due to physical or mental health, you are considered to be a carer, even if you do not think of yourself as one.
Do you do any of the following for a friend or family member?
- Cook
- Pop in to check on them
- Take them to appointments
- Collect prescriptions
- Support with daily care or emotional needs
- Help prepare medication?
If so, you should Register as a Carer with us at The Chipping Surgery.
In addition to registering with your GP as a Carer you may be eligible for further support. You can find some useful links below which may be able to provide more specific and tailored support depending on your needs and those of the person you are caring for.
