DUE TO THE EVOLVING SITUATION WE ARE CURRENTLY REVIEWING ALL BOOKED APPOINTENTS. 

IF YOU HAVE A BOOKED APPOINTMENT YOU WILL RECEIVE EITHER A TEXT OR TELEPHONE CALL GIVING YOU INSTRUCTIONS AS TO WHETHER TO ATTEND THE SURGERY OR NOT

FROM 16th MARCH 2020 THE PRACTICE WILL OPERATE A TELEPHONE TRIAGE SYSTEM. IF YOU NEED AN APPOINTMENT PLEASE CALL THE SURGERY OR BOOK ONLINE , AN INITIAL TELEPHONE CONSULTATION WILL BE BOOKED FOR YOU. THE GP OR NURSE WILL CALL YOU AND WHERE POSSIBLE CARRY OUT THE CONSULTATION OVER THE TELEPHONE OR IF AVAILABLE, BY VIDEO LINK . THE CLINICIAN WILL DECIDE IF YOU NEED TO COME TO THE SURGERY AND WHEN.

  • PLEASE DO NOT ENTER THE PRACTICE IF YOU ARE CONCERNED ABOUT HAVING COVID-19. CONTACT NHS 111.
  • WE ADVISE PATIENTS WHO HAVE NON URGENT ISSUES TO PLEASE LOOK AT OTHER PATHWAYS AVAILABLE SUCH AS VISITING THEIR LOCAL PHARMACY.
  • PRESCRIPTIONS - IF YOU NORMALLY COLLECT YOUR PRESCRIPTIONS FROM THE SURGERY PLEASE USE THE NEW HATCH TO THE LEFT HAND SIDE OF THE FRONT ENTRANCE FOYER. IF YOU HAVE A FEVER OR A NEW PERSISTENT COUGH PLEASE INFORM DISPENSARY THAT YOU WILL SEND SOMEONE ELSE TO COLLECT YOUR PRESCRIPTION FOR YOU.    DISPENSARY 01453 842214 EXT 2.

Improved Access - Please note due to the evolving situation Improved Access appointments are telephone consultations until further notice

Our aim is to make it easier and more convenient for patients to see a GP by providing more appointments at  surgeries across the Berkeley Vale area. These appointments are called Improved Access Appointments.  The appointments can be offered to patients registered with one of the Berkeley Vale Improved Access Surgeries which includes The Chipping Surgery

Monday to Friday Evenings and Saturday/Sunday Mornings

Please phone or call in to the surgery and we will book you directly

Improved Access Clinics are held at the following Surgeries:

Chipping Surgery, Wotton Under Edge; Culverhay Surgery, Wotton Under Edge

Walnut Surgery, Dursley; Acorn Surgery, Dursley

Cam/Uley Surgery, Cam/Uley; Vale Hospital, Dursley

Weekday appointments available between 4pm and 7.45pm

Weekend Appointments available between 08.30am to 12.15pm

CHIPPING SURGERY CARPARK CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

As the building work progresses we are no longer able to provide this facility.

Please do not park in front of the Fire Station the entrance/exit is required 24 hours a day.

The Partners apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

The car park is due to reopen in July 2020

Long Term Conditions

We are pleased to be introducing a new way of caring for our patients with long term conditions, this includes patients with Hypertension, Diabetes, Asthma, COPD etc. We will invite patients to make an appointments at the surgery in the month of their birth. On your first visit we will complete all the necessary tests and screening required; you will then have a follow up appointment with a Long Term Conditions nurse to ensure your personal condition/s are fully assessed and kept under control.  Please do not book appointments for Long Term Conditions reviews using the on-line service.  Please phone 01453 842214 and press option 1 - the reception team will be able to advise you which tests/screening are required and book the correct appointments for you. 

NB.If your conditions have changed or you feel unwell you must continue to contact the surgery in the normal way.

GP:  45 appointments (11 hours and 30 minutes)

Nursing: 56 appointments (13 hours)
