Since 01.01.2026, the routine childhood vaccination schedule now includes a combined MMRV vaccine which offers protection against chickenpox as well as measles, mumps and rubella.
We have had a number of enquiries from parents of youngsters who have already completed their preschool vaccination programme regarding their child’s eligibility for this vaccine. A catch-up campaign will run from November 2026 for youngsters born between 01.01.2020 and 31.08.2022. Currently youngsters born before 31.12.2019 are not eligible.
