Proactive Care – Vaccination Eligibility changes for RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus) in Sept 2026

As a Practice we strive to ensure our patients are given the most up to date information, and where possible, use a proactive approach to providing appropriate care and support to our patients.

We have been informed that the RSV Vaccine eligibility is changing from the 1st September. This will now additionally include patients between 65 and 75 years of age who have specific lung conditions or are immunosuppressed.

To get ahead of the busy autumn season, we want to offer you the opportunity to have the RSV vaccination as soon as you become eligible, protecting you from the illness as soon as we can. We will be sending invitations to newly eligible patients between 24th August and 11th September.

If you have received an SMS invitation from us for your RSV Vaccination, it should come with a self-book link to the available clinic dates. If you cannot use the link, you can always come in or call our Reception Team to book your appointment.

You can find out more about the RSV Vaccination, what it is, and how it can help you here. Please bear in mind that the NHS will not be updating the eligibility information on this link until the 1st September which is when the eligibility changes will come into action.

Thank you for your cooperation.
