Autumn Vaccination Programme 2025 – 27th August 2025
Flu and Covid clinic dates are now confirmed and set on our system.
Invites for eligible patients to book, via a self-booking link or by calling the surgery, will start being sent this week.
Please bear with us, we have over 3000 eligible patients to invite. Your invite will arrive if you are eligible. We aim to invite you as quickly as possible, but this needs to be in a managed way to ensure our IT systems and reception team are not overloaded.
If you pre-empt our invite and call to book with the surgery that’s fine, but please be aware that you will still receive an invite from us; your original appointment remains booked, just ignore the invite.
Appointments are available in Surgery on the following dates:
Autumn Vaccination Programme 2025 – 19th August 2025
We continue to work behind the scenes to ensure all our administrative processes are in place, before we are able to start inviting patients to book for your seasonal vaccinations.
We are checking medical records are appropriately coded to ensure you are invited for the correct vaccines based on this year’s eligibility.
In addition, we are setting our clinic days with appointments planned for efficiency. Bear in mind we still have to maintain all other services to our patients throughout the busy vaccination season.
For your information, eligibility is as below, as advised by the JCVI (Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation.
Autumn 2025 Vaccination Campaign – 1st August 2025
Autumn Vaccination Programme 2025 – Flu and Covid
Planning for our Autumn Programme of Flu and Covid vaccines is now well under way.
Vaccines are ordered, for delivery in September. The programme itself begins for the vast majority of our eligible patients in October, and we have clinics being arranged across a number of days, including early and later appointments to help those of you who work or find it tricky to get here during the normal surgery opening hours.
We will be sending invites to our eligible patients towards the end of this month – please look out for these. Where we have mobile numbers recorded, as in previous years we will be sending self-book links, but if you prefer, you can call our friendly reception team to book. If we have no mobile recorded, we will contact you by letter asking you to book.
PLEASE DO NOT CALL US YET, CLINIC DATES HAVE YET TO BE FINALISED.
Further updates will be posted on here, on our Facebook page, and in surgery itself.
A message from Dr Wade, our Vaccine Lead.
We encourage all our patients to attend for vaccinations as they become eligible to protect them from the effects of contracting serious illnesses. Links to NHS guidance on vaccinations are available from our website below, and these explain the benefits of vaccination, and possible side effects.
Some vaccines can be co-administered safely, that is given at the same time as another vaccine. This is the case for the shingles and pneumococcal vaccines. Patients eligible for both will routinely be offered both at one appointment. However, we do understand that some patients prefer to attend separately for their vaccines – just speak to your clinician when you attend; we are always happy to accommodate separate appointments at patient’s request.
If you have any queries regarding vaccinations and eligibility, please either call the surgery reception team on 01453 842214 Option 1, or submit an online form here:
